Physicians of Excellence award is given to AME members who have met the highest standards of ethical and surgical excellence set forth by the Association, and to members who have achieved the following in addition to their continued adherence of AME ethical requirements of medical practice:

• 10 years in practice

• At least 50% of procedures performed are within their specialty

• Board certified by the designated board of the American Board of Medical Specialties

The award of Physician of Excellence offers recognition, visibility and credibility these achievements deserve.
